Driver CPC
Overview
You must have a full Driver CPC if you drive a lorry, bus or coach as the main part of your job.
You must complete five, seven-hour CPC modules to gain this qualification.
The CPC qualification lasts for five years. To keep this qualification, drivers need to complete 35-hours of training before the deadline.
Course Content
The 35-hours of training is split into the following modules.
- Driver hours, tacho awareness and drivers hours rules
- Manual handling, walk around checks and defects
- Rules of the road and road traffic accidents
- Vulnerable road users
- Health and safety for drivers and driver welfare.
You do not have to complete your 35-hours all in one week, this can be spread out as long as you gain the hours before the five-year deadline.
