Skills Bootcamps

Free and Subsidised Driver and Logistics Training

What are Skills Bootcamps?
Skills Bootcamps provide learners with skills that employers need.  They are flexible courses giving people the opportunity to gain sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer OR gain new skills in an existing job.

Who can attend Skills Bootcamps?
Skills Bootcamps are for most adults over the age of 19.  Learners who are employed, self-employed or unemployed can attend Skills Bootcamps to gain skills for a new job or a new contract.

Employers can train their existing teams using Skills Bootcamps.

Employers can also send members of staff onto Skills Bootcamps to fill skills gaps within the business.  The cost to an employer to send staff on Skills Bootcamps is subsidised by the Department for Education as part of their Skills for Life scheme.  This pays for most of the cost of training.  A small and medium sized business will be supported with 90% of the training and a large business, with 250 or more employees will be supported with 70% of the training cost.

There is no cost to your business to recruit individuals who have completed Skills Bootcamps.
